Hospital Support Volunteer - CRC - Summer 2026

Description

Offer comfort, companionship, and emotional support to individuals receiving cancer treatment. Hospital Support Volunteers help create a calm, supportive environment by offering a friendly presence and non-medical assistance during treatment appointments. You provide meaningful human connection during a difficult time, helping patients feel less alone in their healthcare journey.

Hospital Support Volunteers:

  • Offer companionship and conversation to patients during treatment
  • Assist with non-medical comfort needs (blankets, water, reading materials, etc.)
  • Provide a friendly presence and communicate medical needs to clinical staff where appropriate
  • Help create a calm, supportive environment
