Support individuals and families affected by cancer by offering connection, comfort, and a welcoming presence. As a Cancer Services Volunteer, you help ensure that no patient or loved one feels alone by providing companionship, sharing resource information, and assisting with day-to-day needs on the unit. Your role contributes to a warm, supportive environment for all who visit.
Cancer Services Volunteers:
- Greet incoming patients and guests
- Connect with patients and their loved ones, offering companionship and support
- Serve as a welcoming and reassuring presence in the community
- Educate patients about cancer related resources available throughout the community
- Restock supply room
- Prepare and offer snacks and drinks for patient
