Provide compassionate, patient‑centered support to patients and their families during a vulnerable time in their recovery journey. Inpatient Floor Volunteers for CMC's 4th floor play a vital role on the unit, offering direct interaction that brings comfort, reassurance, and a calming presence. Your support helps ease anxiety, encourages healing, and enhances the overall patient experience. In addition to patient interaction, volunteers also assist clinical staff with essential non‑clinical tasks.

Inpatient Floor Volunteers (4 North and 4 South:

• Greet incoming patients and guests to the unit
• Provide companionship and patient‑centered support to medical or post‑surgical patients and their families through activities such as playing games, reading, or accompanying patients for a supervised sit outdoors
• Assist the department with tasks such as emptying laundry bins and transporting patients off‑unit
• Record and collect meal trays
